AMDIS Awards Nomination Form
The
AMDIS awards salute excellence and outstanding achievement
in applied medical informatics. The awards program
is presented by the Association of Medical Directors
of Information Systems, a non profit organization
representing over 1,800 physician leaders who have
a high level of interest in and are responsible
for information technology in their organization(s).
Physicians
are taking on a much greater role in acquiring,
installing and supervising the utilization of information
technology. The AMDIS awards honor the individuals
and/or organizations who have successfully applied
information systems and computer technology into
the practice of medicine.
The
winners are honored every year at the annual Physician
Computer Connection Symposium, and in Modern Healthcare
/ Modern Physician magazines.
Judging
criteria include:
- Demonstration
of a successful medical information systems/technology
application

Use of information systems to improve patient
care

Use of information technology to support a more
effective medical practice
-
Use of information systems/technology to improve
work flow and contain health costs
